Lugaru mods upgrade#
If you are using an ATI graphics card and have never been able to run Lugaru, make sure you upgrade to the latest version. If that still does not fix the problem, you may have to delete Lugaru and reinstall it. Unfortunately, this will delete your progress and settings. You can find them and delete them in your Data folder, located in the Lugaru folder. Lugaru crashes before I can play If this is a recent development, your "Users" or "config.txt" files may have gotten corrupted. NB: there is also a config.txt file in ~/lugaru/Data but editing this one will not change the game settings. Since this is a hidden folder you will have to toggle "show hidden files/folder" in "View". Lugaru mods mods#
Without access to the source code, mods are limited to changes in the map and textures. Can gameplay changes like new weapons and techniques be modded into Lugaru? No.
Lugaru mods code#
While some of his other games are open source, Lugaru is being sold as shareware and releasing the source code would greatly complicate things. David worked very hard on Lugaru for a long time and would prefer to keep the source code private. It was later ported to Windows by Defiance, and to Linux by Icculus. How was Lugaru made? Lugaru was originally written on a Mac using the CodeWarrior IDE, OpenGL graphics API, FMOD sound API, and Quicktime. Save the file and debug will be enabled the next time you run Lugaru. Search for the text that says "Debug" and change the number that follows from 0 to 1.
